Gusty Tartan

Those crows were getting on her nerves, swirling around her head as she tried to take big steps up the steep hill.
Getting to the top was hard enough without constant cawing in your ear.
Besides, the birds looked rather odd, though she didn't care to take a closer look.
The wind picked up the higher she got, until at last she could see all over the lands and decide where to go to next.
A strange figure loomed over her.
"That wasn't there before," she thought, slightly amused.
The crows had gathered on its arms and head and looked down on her with a strange glow in their eyes.
She turned around again.
A soft creaking sounded behind her....
